BedShift vs TrackMyPG

TrackMyPG publishes three Indian rupee tiers and collects rent through Razorpay. Here is how its scope and rails compare with BedShift.

Short answer

TrackMyPG is a low-cost, price-transparent option for an Indian operator collecting rent through Razorpay; BedShift is for operators outside those rails who need a mobile app, housekeeping and multi-property depth.

TrackMyPG details on this page were checked on 2026-08-03 against their own website and may have changed since. Where we could not verify something on TrackMyPG’s own site, the page says so rather than guessing.

TrackMyPG is an Indian shared-accommodation management product from BuildsInfinity Technologies. It belongs to a small group in this market that publishes its prices openly, which makes it straightforward to compare on cost and worth respecting for that alone.

A note on wording. TrackMyPG's name and positioning use "PG", short for paying guest. That is Indian usage and is not used in Pakistan, where the equivalents are boys hostel, girls hostel, working women hostel and boarding house. We use their term when describing their product.

At a glance

Everything in the TrackMyPG column was read from its own pricing page on the date shown at the top of this page. Where its site did not state something, this table says so rather than filling the gap.

Positioning

TrackMyPG presents itself primarily through its commercial terms: three clearly priced tiers and a near-frictionless trial. Its pricing page is where the product does most of its explaining, and what it explains best is what you pay and how rent gets collected.

BedShift presents itself through breadth of operations. Twelve modules cover property and bed management, bookings, invoicing, payments, a resident portal, staff management, complaints, housekeeping, analytics, a marketplace listing, notifications and a native mobile app. That is a wider surface, and for a small single-site operator a wider surface is not automatically better.

We are deliberately not listing TrackMyPG's full feature set here. Its pricing page is the page we verified, and characterising modules we did not see stated on their own site would be exactly the kind of second-hand claim these comparisons exist to avoid. Read their site directly for the full picture.

Pricing transparency

TrackMyPG publishes three monthly tiers in Indian rupees: Basic at 299, Pro at 599, marked as most popular, and Enterprise at 999. It also advertises a seven-day free trial that is activated by paying one rupee through Razorpay, cancellable at any time.

That one-rupee activation is worth calling out neutrally, because it cuts both ways. It verifies a real payment instrument up front, which reduces junk sign-ups, but it also means the trial is not card-free: you enter payment details before you have used the product.

BedShift publishes plans and their limits, with a free plan that carries no time limit and requires no card at all, and a 15-day trial on paid plans. Its amounts are set in Paddle and localised per country, so the pricing page is the only accurate place to read a figure for your location. On raw entry price, a rupee tier at the bottom of TrackMyPG's range is likely to be the cheaper paid option for an Indian operator, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Payment rails

TrackMyPG's pricing page lists Razorpay as live and ready for secure online rent collection, and PayU as coming soon with marketplace onboarding in progress. Both are Indian rails. Nothing on the page names EasyPaisa, JazzCash or Raast.

BedShift integrates Safepay for Pakistan and Stripe globally for card checkout. For local rails it does not attempt to replace them: JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, IBFT and cash are recorded and reconciled by channel and reference number against the invoice line each settles. For India, BedShift records UPI, IMPS, NEFT, bank transfer and cash the same way, and is explicit that it is not a payment gateway and does not replace UPI.

So for an Indian operator wanting rent to arrive inside the product, TrackMyPG's live Razorpay integration is a direct advantage. For a Pakistani operator, neither of TrackMyPG's rails is usable at all.

Market fit

TrackMyPG is India-only in practice: rupee pricing, Indian gateways, Indian terminology. BedShift is Pakistan-first, uses Pakistani terminology throughout, and ships country pages for Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with locally correct payment channels on each.

The other difference is what happens away from a desk. BedShift advertises a native Android and iOS app with separate navigation for owners, residents, staff and guests, offline mode with background sync, biometric login and QR scanning for gate passes. No mobile app is advertised on TrackMyPG's pricing page. For a warden walking a building, that is not a small gap — but it is also a gap we can only report as "not advertised on the page we read", not as an absence we have confirmed.

When to choose TrackMyPG instead

Choose TrackMyPG if:

  • You operate in India and want the cheapest transparent paid tier. Its entry price is published, low and easy to compare. That is a real advantage over any vendor that makes you ask.
  • You want rent collected through Razorpay. It is live on their side today. BedShift does not integrate Razorpay.
  • You want to see the exact price before signing up. All three tiers are on one page with no sales conversation required.
  • You want to be running this week. BedShift is currently onboarding new accounts personally while self-serve sign-up is being finalised, so starting involves a conversation rather than a sign-up form.
  • You do not need a mobile app. If everything happens at a desk, BedShift's app is capability you would be paying for and not using.

Choose BedShift if you operate in Pakistan, if you need a native mobile app for staff and residents, if housekeeping and utility billing are part of the job, or if you want a free plan that never expires and never asks for a card.
