RentOk is a rental and shared-accommodation management product from EazyApp Tech Pvt Ltd, with offices its site gives as Gurugram and Bengaluru. It is built for the Indian market and does not pretend otherwise, which makes this a comparison about geography as much as about features.
A note on wording before we start. RentOk's own site uses "PG", short for paying guest, throughout its positioning. That is Indian usage and is not used in Pakistan, where the equivalents are boys hostel, girls hostel, working women hostel and boarding house. We use RentOk's term when describing RentOk's own product and Pakistani terms everywhere else.

Positioning
RentOk's advertised feature set leans heavily toward the commercial and administrative side of running Indian rentals: Autopay for automatic monthly rent collection, tenant verification, a rent receipt generator, a rent agreement generator, legal services, chartered accountant and accounting services, and marketing services. Several of those are professional services wrapped around the software rather than software features, and they are specific to Indian legal and tax practice.
BedShift's scope is the operations of the building itself: property and bed management, bookings, invoicing, payments, a resident portal, staff management with attendance and payroll, complaints, housekeeping, analytics, notifications and a public marketplace listing.
The overlap is real but partial. Where RentOk adds an Indian accountant, BedShift adds a housekeeping roster.
Pricing transparency
RentOk does not publish a price. We checked both its homepage and its pricing page and neither carries a figure, so obtaining a number requires contacting them. That is a legitimate model — plenty of good software is sold that way — but it does mean you cannot compare cost without entering a sales process.
We want to be explicit about one thing here. Per-bed price figures for RentOk circulate on third-party software listing sites. We could not verify any of them against RentOk's own pages, and we are not going to repeat a price for a named company on someone else's authority. If you need RentOk's price, ask RentOk.
BedShift publishes its plans and their limits, with a free plan that has no time limit and needs no card, and a 15-day trial on paid plans. Actual amounts are set in Paddle and localised per country, so the pricing page is the only accurate source for a figure.
Payment rails
This is the sharpest divide in the comparison and it is entirely about geography. RentOk names no Pakistani payment rails anywhere on its site — no EasyPaisa, no JazzCash, no Raast. Its site mentions WhatsApp payment links and QR codes but does not name a payment gateway.
BedShift integrates Safepay for Pakistan and Stripe globally for card checkout, and records and reconciles JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, IBFT and cash by channel and reference number against the invoice line each one settles. BedShift is not a payment gateway and does not replace those rails; it keeps the ledger straight across all of them.
One capability RentOk advertises and BedShift does not: Autopay, described on its site as collecting rent automatically every month. For an operator whose main problem is chasing rent, that is a meaningful difference.
Market fit
If you operate in India, RentOk is built for you in ways BedShift is not. Indian rent agreement generation, chartered accountant services and Indian legal support are not things a Pakistan-first product is going to match, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise. BedShift ships an India country page and records UPI, IMPS, NEFT, bank transfer and cash as payment channels, but it does not replace UPI and does not offer Indian professional services.
If you operate in Pakistan, the position reverses. BedShift uses Pakistani terminology throughout, integrates Safepay for local card acceptance including local bank cards, and reconciles the wallet rails Pakistani residents actually pay with. RentOk's site does not address that market.
When to choose RentOk instead
Choose RentOk if:
- You operate in India. Its Indian rent agreements, accounting and legal services are built for Indian practice, and BedShift does not offer them.
- Automatic rent collection is your biggest problem. RentOk advertises Autopay for monthly collection. BedShift sends invoices, reminders and payment links, but does not advertise automatic recurring collection from residents.
- You want a branded tenant app without an enterprise contract. RentOk advertises a whitelabel app with your own logo and colours; BedShift confines white-label branding to its Enterprise plan.
- You want WhatsApp sent from your own number. RentOk states that explicitly. BedShift documents WhatsApp through a connected WhatsApp Business account using approved templates, which is a different arrangement.
- You want professional services bundled with the software. Chartered accountant, legal and marketing services are part of RentOk's offer, not BedShift's.
Choose BedShift if you operate in Pakistan, if you want to see a plan and its limits before you talk to a salesperson, or if housekeeping, utility billing and staff attendance are part of what you need managed.
